Forest Plan Objectives and Monitoring Plan Questions

The following objectives, monitoring questions, evaluation criteria, and adaptive feedback mechanisms are identified in Table 6-1 of the 2008 Forest Plan.

Objective

Identify, evaluate, preserve, protect, and enhance heritage resources through application of Forest guidance and on a project-specific basis pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), as amended, as well as other relevant acts and implementing regulations (for example, the Archaeological Resources Protection Act and the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act).

Monitoring Plan Question

Are (1) project clearance/inventory, (2) project implementation, (3) mitigation, and (4) enhancement completed in accordance with the requirements and regulations for heritage resources?

Sampling/Reporting Period

Annual/5 Year

Evaluation Criteria

Compliance of activities with Heritage Resource Standards and Guidelines: HSS I, II, III, VI.

Inventory and Monitoring Data and Reports

This section is a location where resource-specific inventory and monitoring data and reports can be stored and made available for review by Forest Service and other participating agencies, as well as interested members of the public.
